Presenting “Souls of the Skunk River”

Meet the people… read their stories

Welcome! Please meet these folks and let them share a snippet of who they are with you. They may feel like someone you already know. They may be a kindred spirit. They are just like you and me, imperfect, navigating and sharing life as best they can. (Click on the pictures to bring up their stories)

It all started with Pete the Pothead

Souls of the Skunk River

I have worked in oil, watercolor, pastel, and clay, both wheel and building. I have made my own paintbrushes from roadkill, made my pottery tools from deer bones and driftwood. I make art because I need to. It is not a business. I could care less if I ever sell a piece. I love the relationship I have with my clay souls and I love for them to share their stories with you. I hope you enjoy.

Clearly you’re drunk/stoned you weird hippie because you sent me the same pictures and text three times. Is the sculpture a commentary on the futility of man? He’s naked and has no arms. Not only can he not scratch his nether regions he can’t even pleasure himself. That is a special kind of hell.
